Charcoal Mehndi Zaisu Meditation Chair’s print is inspired by the decorative skin art created on hands, feet and arms during Hindu festivals and weddings. The use of mehndi (from the Sanskrit word mendhikā) and haldi (turmeric paste stain) is described in the earliest Hindu Vedic ritual books; it symbolizes the outer and inner sun, representing the Vedic idea of awakening the inner light.
Super cushy zaisu meditation floor chair is ideal for extended meditation. Fully padded back rest and seat. Adjustable to five positions including flat.
Hand-block printed in charcoal grey. Finished with illuminating orange detail and a colorful tassel like those seen on the camels of Rajasthan’s great Thar Desert.
Great with a chattra neck cushion if you want a little extra lower back support. So lovely and comfy you won’t want to stop meditating!
The artisan's hand work is revealed in each chattra textile, including print density and block alignment; imperfections are characteristic and add to the charm of this traditional technique.
