Indigo Kasuti Zafu's print is inspired by the often geometric patterns of kasuti, a traditional form of folk embroidery practiced in the state of Karnataka, India. Kasuti is traditionally stitched on dress wear and tunics. We’ve enlarged a kasuti-inspired pattern and hand-block printed it in deep indigo blue. Finished with illuminating orange detail and a colorful tassel like those seen on the camels of Rajasthan’s great Thar Desert. Divine in any home practice or studio interior.
Provides spine support and alignment when meditating and during pranayama practice. Buckwheat hull fill adjusts to body contours. For leg and knee support and comfort, pair Indigo Shikhara Zafu with a chattra zabuton. So lovely you won’t want to put your chattra meditation cushions away.
100% cotton cover hand-crafted in India; integrated handle; lined with 100% cotton liner. Filled with US buckwheat hulls. Do not heat.
The artisan's hand work is revealed in each chattra textile, including print density and block alignment; imperfections are characteristic and add to the charm of this traditional technique.
