The embroidered textiles of Central Asia inspired the medallion print of our Fuchsia Suzani collection. Traditionally included in wedding dowries to demonstrate the stitching skills - suzan means needle in Persian - of brides, suzani tapestries date to the 1700‘s.  Screen printed in bright pink by master artisans in India, these beauties are finished with illuminating orange, a color significant in Hindu, Buddhist and Sikh faiths, and festooned with a colorful tassel like those seen on the camels of Rajasthan’s great Thar Desert. 100% cotton covers and liners; zafu filled with buckwheat hulls, eye pillow with flax seed.
