Bagru village in Rajasthan, near Jaipur, has been home to block printing masters for more than 400 years. Workshops are organized by family, with grandparents, moms, dads, cousins and kids all committed to carrying on the legacy of this slow, mindful textile tradition. chattra spent the day in Bagru recently, experimenting with dyes and mud resist techniques. I am using this technique for my burlap bag soap packaging.
